When I finally went to war, I realized just how poor some of the interface really is.

Why is it necessary to individually select ships to give them a "load troops command"? Shouldn't there be a way to just tell an entire fleet or selected group to load troops from nearest colony? That option disappears if you select more than one ship.

Yes, that's on our to-do list and it's pretty high priority. Right now, automate your ships and they will load up troops themselves as long as they are near colonies with extra troops.

The problem with this is that it drains the colony of the troops needed to defend itself, and the colony does not automatically recruit replacement troops when troops are picked up. There needs to be a feature like in LEIM where a colony can be directed to maintain a constant level of troopage, so that if troops are lost in combat or picked up by transports, the colony will automatically recruit more to replace them. Right now the only way to stock planets with troops is to manually visit each planet and recruit a bunch by hand, as the auto-recruiter hires like 1 troop, which is not enough to defend a planet from anything.

Please consider the planet 'special' that allows for faster production of 100% stronger troops (the name escapes me atm).

This begs for all empire troops to be built here and ferried to other planets, but only a pure masochist would attempt that at the moment.
