Excellent job. I spend way too much time playing. I know it sounds like I'm complaining about some things, but that's not the case. Yes I have opinions and can be a big pain in rear. I had many boses present and past who've said that to me on many occasions.
If I didn't care for the product I wouldn't say anything let alone pay $80.

One other thing I want to mention. The decision to skew history and give Japan advantages was a good one. Some of us may complain from time to time, but that doesn't mean you made a bad decision.

Put in perspective if the game was half realistic then the Japanese would be so horrible nobody would bother playing a side garanteed to lose. With some of the advantages at least JFB's can play a PBEM without being massacred in first 2 years of the war.

I just started playing AE seriously since the 3rd Patch came out (Long time WitP player though) and i agree it's awesome.
I also think that giving a little more of an edge to the japanese than historical was the right decision. I'm very big on historical accuracy, but i think in this theatre of WWII it's justified to stray a little. It would just become boring to quickly otherwise and replayability would suffer.
Thanks Developers!!! [:)]

In what sides PBEM game is not realistic for Japan side ?
Japan had lots of disadvantages, little number of pilots, little number of destroyers and escorts, little number and poor quality of engineer and air support units, little number of tankers to ship oil, little number of CV's

They do seem to do much better in the air campaign than histoical however. They still seem to be able to match the allies well into 1944 in this area.
Note: i'm an AI player so i don't have first hand experiance with this in PBEM, but the AAR's seem to support this assertion.

I can only second that.
PS: This is exactly the advantage of games like these compared to all those graphics explosions that get "out of date" after you tried it once or twice.
We´ll play this game long after the current "strategy" game superstars are buried or are in theis addon release #6, and get support from
creative people that love play the game themselves. [&o]

What a game. WitP has spent years on my hard drive and AE is going to do the same. Other programs come and go, operating systems as well. Computers too have gone from shiny gizmo to expensive doorstop. This game has outlasted them all. Well done.

I agree. The game has consumed hundreds (thousands?) of hours since Miller and I began our match in October. We're having a blast. I can't imagine playing anything else unless and until a successor comes along (after all, I played UV until WitP and WitP until AE; no other games have been purchased during that interval).

The developers on the picture below... [8D] What you can't see in this photo is Average "
Fix The Bugs!" Joe (a.k.a. average WitP AE player) and his most feared whip [:D]

Couple of newb observations.
The game is very stable. In today's world with people using several different versions of operating systems and all kinds of video cards. Games usually have a hard time adapting.
While at first complicated, once you get the hang of the mechanics it's intuitive. It works like you think it should.
Thumbs Up!
