Auto Designed Spaceports 1.04.4 No Energy

Virtually all the ones I look at have minimal to no excess energy, but a big weapons loadout that is useless.

Noticed it when pirate attacked one and it didn't return fire.

Saw it happen on an AI player spaceport too (ie didn't fire on attacker).

I can upload saves but it seems so widespread I'm sure its been noticed, though I didn't see a thread so just in case. . .

Thanks, confirmed, the Dhayut starting space port designs do seem to be a bit low on power.

Erik, I'm not sure the starting spaceport is the problem. I'm seeing the same issue with auto-designed spaceports later in the game. There are two messages I get on the LSP. "Superweapon may not fire because total reactor energy output and..." then it goes off the screen and I can't read it. The second message is on the SSP and MSP as well. It is "Reactor power output inadequate to supply static energy requireme..." And again, the message is lost.

On the LSP I see Energy Collection: 720 Reactor Power Output: 360 Static Energy Usage: 378 Excess Energy Output: -18 Maximum Weapons Energy use per second: 961

Question, should Excess energy Output count only the reactor and not the collectors?

I'll upload a copy of my current savegame where you can see this with the MSP and LSP. I don't think it was visable earlier as my tech had not progressed to the energy-hog state.

(Based entirely on reactor output, collection is not counted. Is this correct?

This is fixed in the final version of 1.0.4. All AI designs now load up sufficient reactors to power their weapons and other components.

elliotg you may want to do a once over of every AI design. I've noticed other designs (I can't recall which) with low power.
