Troop screen sort issues

(playing 1.0.4.4)
When I go to the troop screen and change the sort order strength and disband the first troop, the next selected troop is my 1st, or whatever is next troop instead of the troop at the top of the list (lowest strength).
When I change the sort order to name, it starts with 100 and goes to 999, then from 10-99, then from 1-9. The correct order would be from 1-999.
I cannot select a range of troops. (Say if I want to disband all of the low-strength troops.)
