Unable to connect using CoI

Dampsquib and I last night tried for several hours to play a CoI game...and I for the life of me am not sure why we couldn't....

We tried direct IP connect using Hamachi (no joy, he could see game but not join?)...then we tried Battle HQ which would launch the game for the host...but the client gets a black screen with a cursor (and in the task manager it says the game is not responding)

It sounds like a router problem with him, but when B HQ crashed for me too I wasn't so sure.

Could we organize sometime to meet up on B HQ and try to work this out for him? I'll be around later tonight (9pm EST GMT -5)and this weekend.

When we hook up on Battle HQ over the weekend (hopefully), I'll see if I can help you through some of thiss stuff.

He figured it out by testing his ports...

Our first operation ended with my Soviet forces being triumphant over his Wehrmacht.

The last day of the operation was tough for me. Lost 9 heavy units after having only lost 2 in the previous 5 days. 3 guns, 4 tanks, 1 assault gun, 1 halftrack...damn that empty field...

However, note Damp's chat line at the bottom....[:D]

So you can now connect after dampsquib fixed his port forwarding?

This would also stop you playing MMCC3 if ports aren't forwarded.

Yeah, however we still don't know what's up with B HQ. For the client it just goes to a black screen and the game crashes while the host makes it to the MP menu.

In the mean time the two of us started the Der Ost Front GC. Although it crashed halfway through the first operation at 1 AM EST this morning, so we are going to get back into it later on.
