A little help, please?

Ugh! The stupid Scenario Bank server keeps tossing me when I try to download anything. Grrrr. My laptop keeps timing out around 363Kb downloaded....everytime no matter what the scenario I'm downloading! Is this because I'm on lowly dial-up? Discrimination, I say!

Does anyone know why this is happening to me? Better yet, could some kind grognard possible e-mail me Tweber's 6th Army campaign and the latest WaW scenario? I'd be most grateful. My e-mail addy is crazymoo25@gmail.com . Too bad there wasn't a mirrored site for the scenario bank.

I sent you the files via gmail. With dial up it's going to be an overnight deal I think. Your ISP might be kicking you off after a number of hours.

Thanks Jeffrey! No, I'm getting kicked at just under 3 minutes! The 4.86 Meg WaW scenario should only take me about 20 minutes to download. I just downloaded the 1.12 'Gold' patch for Commander: Europe at War the other night (78 Meg) and it took around 6-7 hours.

Anyway, thanks again for sending those. I appreciate it!

Rich....you suck....[:'(]....hehe. Yeah, dial-up still exists and it works just fine for PBEM. Now, any first-person shooter game.....forget it. I have to LAN for those.

The files came over gmail just fine, Jeffrey. Thanks! But I'm still curious why the AT Scenario Bank server keeps booting me at just under 3 minutes (or 363 Kb downloaded) EVERY TIME no matter what I'm downloading. The laptop is virus free as far as I know and that site is the only one that gives me problems.

I don't know, suggest you tee it up in the support forum, maybe Vic can tackle it.

the scenariobank is hosted by yahoo and i have seen the same happen with uploads. (which are slower to do even with cable or dsl) they time out at around 3 minutes.

i dont like it either and am thinking of switching host when at2 is released.

best regards,
Vic
