Total newbie...looking for tutorial guide

Post by cdcolburn »

Hey all, just bought the game today. Trying to learn the ropes. I can't seem to find this tutorial guide. Can anyone help me locate it?

Thanks,

Chris

No tutorial for this game. Just some smaller scenarios to begin with.

Start with the 1000 mile war...then move to Coral Sea and finally Guadalcanal. At some point, start a grand campaign and plan on restarting a couple of times as you realize your mistakes.

Then, graduate to a PBEM game for a butt kicking like no other. Actually, try to find someone with your experience level in the game in each one of those scenarios and you will be fine.

Guad is an EXCELLANT scenario for PBEM. Just wrapped up a nail biter in that one.

Good luck.

The manual on page 13 refers to a "separate tutorial guide" that players who prefer to just jump in to can use to get them started. Did this never make it to the light of day?

Also, the wiki that is referred to in some of these posts doesn't seem to exist anymore. The domain name "hc-strategy.com" is giving a dns error when I try to access it. Did it go somewhere before the domain name lapsed? Anyone know?

I couldn't get this link to work. Anybody else having problems with it?

edit: Gee...If I would finish reading the posts first, I would see the guy above me is having problems.

p.s. Welcome to the club wjclerk. No, the tutorial never made it. You can always ask questions on this forum. Somebody is bound to help you out pretty quickly. This forum is better then any tutorial could be anyways.

Welcome cdcolburn.

Yes, this website is the best source of information...more specifically, the people on this forum.
