Test of TCPIP play needed

I am asking a favor from anyone who has the time to allow me to try to connect a TCPIP game with him.

My opponent and I used to be able to play Tiller's games using the TCPIP method of playing directly with one another across the Internet. We have changed something and lost the ability, even when we avoid routers and go straight through the modems. We have fiddled quite a bit without success. At this stage, it would be helpful if we could try to connect to a different computer. (That might help us figure out if our connection problem is on my side or my opponent's side.)

If anyone would be willing to try a TCPIP connection with me, please send a PM. It should take between 15 and 30 minutes, I would guess. I would, of course, try the connection at a time of your choosing.

Thanks very much,

John Van Vliet

Just to be clear, I am not asking to play a game. I just want to see if I can actually connect as if to play TCPIP.

(By the way, my worthy opponent and I have had years of fun playing with the direct TCPIP connection. I am frustrated that I do not yet know what happened to break our ability to connect.)
