This list is to show Matrix how many potential sales they will make if they lower the price. Just add your name and the maximum price you are willing to pay. Make it a fair price. We all know how much effort they put into making this game. If you put your name here, better make sure to buy the game if they indeed lowered the price.

I watched the video on youtube, was not impressed, it looked like a RTS game and they are never worth more than $30. IDK...It seems the any ETO battle is child's play vs most East front battles, the scale, the troops that fought, i.e 8/10 Germans that were killed in WW2 where on the Eastern Front. If you like to MOD, it could be worth it, but again if it plays like a RTS.......

I'd pay 60. Honestly, the price tag isn't the biggest issue for me. It's the price tag without a demo (at the moment). I don't know how you can ask for $90+ from anyone without a demo. But, once they get the demo out if I like the game I'll get it.

It may be RTS.  But it's a serious RTS.  It has realistic command and control.  You have the option of commanding the higher echelons, set up SOPs and see the orders trickle down to subordinate units realitically with delay.  The tactical AI of the units are good unlike other RTS games which needs micro management. 

Anyway, the purpose of this post is not to duscuss the game.  There are already other posts for it.

Lets just say far less than $80. But each to their own, it seems to have worked for WitP and a couple other games I haven't bought.

It's NOT an 'RTS' in the sense that term is usually understood, so some sort of generic pricing suggestion is nonsense. It is, however, significantly over-priced (take that from a purchaser of Airborne Assault, HttR and CotA) and I will not be buying it until it's on sale, if then. I'm aware that, like WitE, BftB is probably 'worth' that price, but I just have too many games competing for my time to justify that sort of money for another one.

with only one battle, and make that battle on the western front to boot.....I'm sorry but you will have to sell, and sell hard for this one. I don't see this going gold anytime soon.

If you are a serious war gamer you'll buy this game, if you're not then u probably won't. Price doesn't matter. In my opinion the price is a bit steep, but I'll buy anyway. I can understand the price it is a huge time investment put in a program like this and a very refined product is the result.
One of my first PC games was from Panther, and have all games since I think.
Frankly we want games for 30 bucks, but if that's what all we paid for this type of game, companies like PG would have died years ago. We pay good money for wine, cheese and other qualities of life, so we should be expected to do the same for our quality entertainment.

Please watch the full promo movie and have a look at the product page. The only thing this has in common with the typical "RTS" is that it does not have turns.

Well I'll split the difference I'd rather pay $49.99 but I'll up it to $54.99 and that's my bottom dollar. Add a printed manual to it and then I'll pay $59.99

$59.99 same as COTA for a express download.

I did, Erik. To me it looks and feels like a RTS. I spend alot of money at Matrix, you guys are the best out there. Before you release a game, maybe you should have everything in order and ready to go. It's like buy this car, but oh you can't take it for a test drive. would you buy that car?

I'd buy it this minute at the $55 point, and almost certainly at the $60 although would probably read through the reviews first - which would be stellar...which would provide whatever "excuse" I needed.

Did you watch the video AAR (which is a very poor representation of the game) or the game concepts video? If it's the latter and you've watched the whole 30 min video, and still consider it a mere RTS, I have nothing more to add.

Considering you don't gather resources, I don't know how you can call it an RTS. That is a pretty fundamental and crucial part of what defines an RTS, IMO.

This sums it up perfectly in my opinion. As a reward for my kids doing very tedios things (like keeping their room clean for a couple weeks - they are all under 8 yrs, it was a big step [:D]), we are going to take them to see Shrek at our local IMAX. After the 3D tickets, popcorn and other snacks, our trip will easily be around $70 or $80. By no means am I saying that I would rather buy a game than spend time with my kids, I am just saying that I have no problems shelling out that much money for a good time with my family for one night of fun at a mediocre movie, why not an equal amount for a game that I can keep playing for *years*? Same reason why they could have asked $200 for WitP:AE and I would have still gladly paid it.

If you literally dont have the money, then you dont have the money. Maybe we could start a 'Bring BftB to {Insert Name Here}' charity [:D] But I would wager that most people posting here have the money available, but just do not want to spend that much on a single game. Which is fine. We are all big kids and can make our own choices.

Sure you can buy another game for $30, or $40. But after you play it for a week and then shelf it, your going to buy another game for $30 or $40. Play it for a week or two and then shelf that one too. And on, and on. Or, for those few here who play MMO's, add up all those $15/month subscriptions and tell us how many hundreds you have spent on that 'one game' (sidenote - ugg, I hate those games . . . ). Me, I prefer to buy one great game, play it for years, and leave the other games for the kids.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. I am just very surprised to see the strong, even emotional, reactions over a price difference of about $20 from what you were willing to pay and what the game costs.

This thread has gone way off track....

Chad...listen the game in the UK after vat costs £73....IF I could afford it I'd think blimey its expensive but go ahead and buy anyway as the game is superb...no way would I pass it up mainly on principle...its the fact that I really can't afford £73 to spend on a game...I'm disabled and get around £150 a week to live on and bring up my daughter who is 9. I struggle buying games as it is at the normal price.

I do think a list of all the people who were going to buy the game and now can't due to price would be a good idea. However I also belive it wouldn't make any difference...Matrix don't reduce the price of any of the games over time like other publishers and I can understand that being a small business....

The worse thing is it's people who rave about the series who can't buy it...Ive spread the word and sang the praises of this game in every forum I visit...

I imagine it's only going to be the financially sound fans who will buy the game now....if old blood isn't buying then I can't imagine new blood buying it...

I do hope Panther go on to make more games in the series as its a wargaming gem and it would be sad to see it go under.
