As I've said before, each game has its own business model and its own development costs. It's not apples to apples even within our catalog and once you go outside this niche market making comparisons is almost impossible
After the BftB pricing controversy, before I get too excited about this game what price range do you see this game in...

When you look at Slitherine`s game page
http://www.slitherine.com/games/ctgw_pc
It now is £ 29.00 GBP. So 39.99 USD or so...

40 Sounds fair to me, I could care less about BftB I'm not even going to buy that game if the price goes down there are so many better / cheaper games coming out. This is more like it

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but late Q4 2010 or even Q1 2011 is more realistic. We are not going to rush this game out, it has to be rock solid upon release.
Cheers,
Tim aka LZ

Actually it's a good thing I think.Recently so many developers rushing release half-baked games.
Keep good work.

Next week we start with the first test group of selected pre-Beta testers, from than on we will crank out new builds every two weeks.
Beta recruitment will start end of this months, and we will go into official Beta end of April.
Depending on bugs, balancing, feedback it is one straight line from Beta to Gold, from experience we count on around 8 weeks from the beginning of Beta to get the game into a finished Gold state.
This is our battle plan for CTGW.

ORIGINAL: Lord Zimoa
Depending on.......balancing.....................
....from experience we count on around 8 weeks from the beginning of Beta to get the game into a finished Gold state.
Each scenario should be played by PBEM from both sides.
Each tester should play it twice from each side for a total of 4 games per scenario. And each of the 4 games should be against a different opponent.
Each tester should play the AI in every scenario. Each scenario should be played twice from both sides.
In 8 weeks you will fuins bugs but its not enough time to get each scenario balanced!
After about 5 turns in any game, each tester should report the score to-date and the score at the finish.
In that way every scenario can be balanced.
The score in a game against the AI should be different to the score in a PBEM game. The AI will never be as good as a human player so you make up for it by amending the score or victory conditions.
