Matrix members lets all chill...

I know things have been getting really tense here at the moment....I think we should all try and relax..
The forum members here (like all other forums I expect) come from all walks of life, some will be financially secure and have well paid jobs others will be at the opposite end of the spectrum and every pound \dollar\euro matters. However what we do or what social class bracket we fall under shouldn't be a problem . I've met alot of good people on here, some have gone above and beyond in the generous stakes and have helped me out or at least offered too on many occasions. A little understanding of other peoples problems\difficulties would go along way even if we ourselves don't have that problem\difficulty.
We are all fellow wargamers and share a hobby that many see as odd and geeky. We share a passion for history and still wish we were kids with our imaginary tommy guns or box of plastic soldiers and a marble;)
Anyway I don't like seeing long time members get dissalusioned with posting on here especially as I see a fair few of you on here as proper mates not just virtual avatars with odd name references:)
So lets try and understand other peoples needs a little more and enjoy our hobby!

Also big KUDOS for Erik and Matrix for allowing free debates to go on.. Other Game sites would shut honest open discussion down.. That is one reason I am a big fan of Matrix!!! [:D]

The BftB upset wont stop be enjoying Matrix Games just may have to covet a few instead of buy them. Hope Erik got the pricing right and Matrix and Panther games live long and prosper.... and my wife sees my sad face around the house enough to buy me a surprise present.

yikes..my buying days are gone...I have dropped over 2000 bucks fixing a 2004 PT Cruiser...No more new cars for me..Next one will be a early 80's Camaro or a Volkswagon Beetle... At least then if the engine goes i can go to home depot and price new lawnmowers to replace the engine in the beetle..

In between beta testing, modding, and scenario designing, I have not been paying much attention to the latest soap-operahs in the wargaming department as of late. So now I am puzzled as to what brought on this thread? I can only guess two things at the moment...
A. The flame/hate/bitch threads spawning up over the new HoI Semper FI gimmick.
B. Someone started a new BraveHeart thread, and of course the English all took flame sides against the Scotts & the Irish again.
Was I right?

Well you're right Wodin. I *am* a little suprised that some (very few actually) topics can get very heated. I mean, most of us are .... middle aged [:)] yet still sometimes rough words fly back and forth. Personally I've grown too old for that. Many of us I believe. But sometimes yeah, it can get a little tense. I've been on forums even before the word "moderator" existed, it could get much worse back then [:D] much worse. Mostly by very young people ofcourse, mudwars, flamewars, yelling and cursing, I've seen it all. So compared to those days Matrix is a heaven of peace and well mannered people. [&o]
