War Lapse Despite Battle

In a multi-player game and we just had a war lapse between Prussia and France when, the turn before, the Prussians had marched to the sound of the guns and joined a battle (and lost troops) between France and Britian. Prussia was also blockading French ports. Britian and Prussia are allies, so that means the game just decided Prussia was bored and decided to leave her ally to face France alone.

I don't think the game should be making decisions like this. The logic for war lapsing needs to be reviewed and, in my opinion, take into account alliances, blockading activities and participation in battles (whether one of the two starting or as reinforcements).
