Pecking Order, Special Status?

First off let me say this...I was desperate for new blood to come along for the BftB game. We were told it had to sell well for any more games to be made in the future. So I have nothing against new members here. Infact I welcome them, the more the merrier. This means we get more members, new wargamers and Matrix gets to make more games.
Well its been mentioned that there is a pecking order here and some have special status. It was also hinted I have posted threads\posts that would have other members banned....can't remember them.
I personally feel the above is wrong to be honest. Anyway its all comes about because not just me but others have mentioned some newer members being a tad confrontational. I was worried as this doesn't bode well for the community here. I really feel if you've just joined (no matter how long you've visited the forum) then your not doing yourself any favours being confrontational.Its alright to voice your opinion but there are ways of doing it that aren't insulting\rude. First impressions and all that.
So for the harmony of the forum and so you don't paint yourself in a bad light maybe try and be polite and make a good first impression.
I just feel that what Ive been saying has been taken out of context in other threads. I'm not trying to cause trouble...just trying to keep the forum civil.

People may have their own ideas, but there's no pecking order here. There may be some human nature in that if we know a user's posting history we may be better able to read their comments as they intended them or to put them in context vs. a new user we don't know, but that's the extent of it.

I dont imagine there is a "pecking" order,I have seen long time members get warned by the moderators.One individual who didnt agree with some members even listed them in his sig as "trolls".He was a long time member and was asked to remove the offensive sig.The forum rules are clearly listed here.As for your posts that others say would get them banned,you were simply stating your opinion,which I beleive is fine.Thats the pupose of forums.

What he means is BftB had to sell in order for future titles in the series to be made.But I dont recall anyone saying that except the op.

I think he means in the Panther Games series. Matrix just merged with Slitherine and has a (hopefully) long and bright future ahead of it.

This is one of the best run forums on the internet when it comes to games. Erik and the mods run a tight ship here when it comes to the rules and it makes it better for all who visit IMHO. If there are any questions about leniency look no further than some who have contributed to the developement of AE getting posting privledges revoked for a short time. If anyone should get leniency beta testers and developers should but I don't believe they do. I see no issue here. Thanks .

I think in the past few days we've all said some things we didn't mean. Things have gotten a little heated.
I apologize if I offended anyone. Wodin and I are on good terms and I'm hoping we can all move forward. [:)]

Sorry should have been more clear....it was the Bulge game that needed the customers for the future of the series.
Bamilus is correct we are on good terms....as I hope I am with other members of this forum.

Hmmm.....They told me I could $%%& right off when I reached 1000 posts......you're clearly ahead of me in the pecking order.
Compared to some of the places I've seen, this is a gaggle of three year olds wrestling for a bar of chocolate armed only with a worn down crayon and a giraffe balloon animal. This is a well policed and gentle place, don't worry about it.
