OK, as usual, a simple question has completely degenerated into another pointless flame war. I can see from the number of hits to the first "Status of 3.10" question that a lot of poeple DO care, even if many of the small number of the people who actually post to this forum appear to have other agendas.

It has been almost two weeks since this question was first asked, and no one from Matrix or AGSI has said a word. That cannot be a good thing. Come on - It only takes a minute or two to type in a response! How difficult can it be?

Let's try this again: Is 3.10 ever coming out? Is Harpoon dead? What is going on with the game?

Harpoon is very much alive and we are in the final stages of wrapping up 3.10 and all the info and work related to a new release. We'll have more info on that very soon regarding what exactly is coming down the pipe and when, but it will be this Summer.

This summer? OMG, you know it is almost September and there is no further information about the official 3.10 update!

Maybe this one is more specific for End of September.

As I posted earlier, we are aiming for the Ultimate Edition release to happen before the end of September, 2010. We are still on schedule so far to meet that deadline. A lot more information regarding the release will be available in the weeks leading up to the release.

So.....

Obviously September didn't happen.

Are the release date questions being asked and answered elsewhere, or does no one care any more? [&:]

"No one cares?"  Nope, rather we are so darn busy working with contributors in Newfoundland, Germany, Australia, New Mexico, New England, Minnesota, Texas and other places that we are keeping our heads down to make it happen.

We've received all the bits at this point for the prior HCE and ANW versions (going back to 1988 - yes "88", some 22 or so).  We are now assembling the 3.10 ANW specific bits and waiting on the final edits to the Advanced Manual.

Then we master the gold DVD/image (as early as Monday) and test that.

Then we release and CONTINUE to work on scenarios, databases and v3.11 of the game engine.

So there you go!  Thanks for asking!

you´ll gonna get more new scens with 3.10 than with all ANW versions so far summarized.

Sorry, but when I was wondering aloud if anyone cared, I was referring to the fans.

Given that a "solid" release date for a major upgrade has come and is a month gone by now, I would have expected at least a comment or question or two about that.

Nothing but silence on the three web forums I've been reading.... Matrix, Warfare Sims and Harp Gamer. I just find that somewhat surprising.
