I played a game against the AI and had quiet a good fun. Now I plan to play both sides and I decided to use the ETO blitz mod so thanks to Uxbridge for this wonderful work. I will try to give some details of the gameplay so that those who don't know this game have a feeling of it.

The invasion of Poland begins...

hum...first time that I write an AAR on this forum...
Here are the first moves of the germans. The luftwaffe has done a good job weakening units and some panzers are in the suburbs of Lodz.

The polish withdraw and try to build a front. Bombers fly in an attempt to destroy the panzers of the third division

during those past two weeks, the raiders Deutchland and Graff spee tried to make their way back to germany (they will rest and hunt the ocean next winter)

England and France decided to react at the german agression on Poland. Bombers flood from England to bomb Essen. This is succesful fly

Behind the ligne Maginot, France upgrade at full strengh some motorised, armored and infantry division. Air units stationed in north Afrika fly to mainland France. Gamelin expect to cross the border in two weeks and run to Saarbruken.

Some of the ressources are spent in reseach...England invest in the Artillery field

The Deutschland is intercepted in the North Sea...He escapes from the Battle but not unscathed (one hit) and join Kiel. No news from the Graf Spee...

France Prepare for the offensive

Germany product some new uboots and start building new units (house rule: they have to be product at level 1 div to be upgraded next turns. We expect to have them ready for the front line in three weeks or so.

After three weeks, Poland is still there and concentrate all his forces to defend Varsovie. They hope that the french army will conduct an offensive soon, France has got the best army of the world...(I am from France, you must have noticed it reading my poor english)

This mod is very interesting. I like the house rules, those new counters HQ units. I am not sure to use correctly the recon units. A german one went close to a polish div and has been destroyed. They can fill the gaps, maybe take control of a vacant hex after the retreat of defenders...

This is something new

England won't let France and Poland fight alone on the ground. 2 INF BEF sail for France. This unit is precious, a level 3 tech (see the description of the unit on the right). Will follow the BEF HQ (the armor BEF unit is in France already, unloaded at Brest...I just find out that to sail to LE HAVRE you need to sail first in the Atlantic, not the north sea zone...hum...why not a channel sea zone to help me ?)

"Les escadrilles françaises" arriving from Afrika are not in position but we can't wait. The first ARMOR DIV receive the order to clean the south of Saarbruken hold by the german 47 INF div (A young general De Gaullle will be in command)

Germans are surprised, De Gaulle used his armoured cars brillantly

The 6 MOT and The 26 INF follow and secure the wings of the 1 ARM...This is a disaster for Germany...(however Lot's of Production point have been spent to prepare this offensive)

POZNAN olds on...but troups suffer a lot

The 25 polish division receive replacement (see the strength of this unit, only 0,13 and it will cost about 10 PP to get this unit at full strengh...I have 16,35 PP available...).

We are at the beginning of October, Poland decide to counter attack. A front line is built to protect Varsovie (3 new div arrive from mobilization). The 3 CAV, the light armor div and the 31 INF will have to push back the 8 PZR and hold the position...
