Rules Question

Can I get some viewpoints/opinions on an interpretation of a rule.

We are playing the 1792 Campaign and the question came up of whether France can change his land movement sequence.
In the game Britain is Dominant, France is NOT Dominant, and no other power is Dominant. The rules do not seem to cover such a situation.

Here is the Rule:
If any Major Power other than Britain becomes a Predominant power while France remains a Predominant power, France no longer gets to chose its spot in the sequence but must always take the first sequence in a Land Phase. If two or more of Austria, Prussia, Russia, Spain or the Ottoman become a Predominant power while France is not a Predominant power,
France must always take the first sequence in a Land Phase. If only one of Austria, Prussia, Russia, Spain or the Ottoman is a Predominant power while France is not a Predominant power, France takes that Major Power’s usual position in the sequence while the Predominant Major Power may announce when it will take its sequence, the same as France usually does.

Thoughts? Should France alwasy move first? Choose when to move?

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

in my opinion the rules describe all differnet situations if France will not be able to choose its position of movement. So in the back path of it I would say in all other conditions France is allowed to choose freely.

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for answering Andreas. I agree with your interpretation and think France does get to choose his movement sequence. The rules are not 100% clear so if anyone thinks differently though I would like to hear their opinions too.

Nevermind question answered. Ruben found the answer in another part of the 1792 rules. In case anyone is wondering the answer is yes France gets to choose his spot at the start of the game.
