What is the definition of "tonnes"? I also see it spelled as "tones" in the manual.
What does the message mean that states " "strength below required level for task" when I check the strength using the F3 key and it is mostly green than yellow?
Command capacity/load.... Somes times shows the load is say six when there is obviously only units under it. Does the commander count it's own self?

A tonne = 1000 kilos
I'll apply that big stick to the dunce who misspelt tonnes. Ouch...that hurts! [;)]
Re "strength below level for task". This means that in the AI's opinion you don't have enough combat power to do the job.
Re command load/capcaity. Please read the manual for a detailed explanation. The load value does not necessarily equate to the number of units. Certain units count less and others more depending on the relationships.

Thanks for the reply. I looked for the load detail in the manual but could not locate it. What page? I'll look again.

to help with conversions for those who are not metrically inclined or who are not imperially inclined
Tonne (i.e., metric ton) = 1000 kilograms = 2,204.62 pounds
Ton (British Ton) or Long Ton = 2240 pounds (1016 kilograms) (not used in international trade since 1985, AFAIK)
Ton (US/Canadian Ton) or Short Ton = 2000 pounds (907 kilograms)
And for distances
Kilometer = 1000 meters = 3281 feet = 1094 yards = 0.641 miles = 0.540 nautical miles (FWIW) (or kilometre)
(I grew up using feet, inches, pounds, etc. ... once I started using metrics I like them a lot ... many jobs I've done in metrics and I like it)

Hardest thing for an Aussie is to write like a Yank. [:)] I saw a documentary about how the US lexicon came to be. Basically a pure rebellion against King George! He wants to spell tonnes... Damn him, we'll spell it tons. True story.

In WW2 all the western allies used imperial measurements. In my view imperial measurements ought to be used for the western allies.
But the Germans used metric. So all German measurements ought to be in metric.
In a game, both sides must use the same measurement - so metric is the obvious choice.
I notice the Russians and Germans both use metric. But in Grisby's War in the East I note both sides are going to use Imperial !![&:]

I'm surprised no one in the States has complained that temperatures in the game are given in Celcius as opposed to Farenheit [:D]
