Run “for” say one hour not just “until...”

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Run “for” say one hour not just “until...”

Post by kipanderson »

Hi,

Currently in BftB you can set the clock to run “until” say D2, 09 30..... which may be say one hour away. It would be great if one could set the timer to run “for” one hour then automatically pause. Then you review your units and when ready hit Run again and it runs for another hour then automactily stops. And so on.....

This would in effect give the option of playing Turn style. A big plus to an already stunning game. Other great games do the same. Combat Mission is now a Real Time game but has a similar feature for those who wish to play Turn style.

Hope you understand my rantings....

All the best,
Kip.

I suppose hitting run at max speed - watching the clock pass an hour - and hitting pause is too much work? [;)][:'(]

Nah, I get ya. [:)] It would actually be a handy feature.

SSG's Carrier's at War has it - hence their forum's name "Run 5" - run for 5 minutes etc.

Now all we need are two more options on the Run-To feature:
Run-To: Reinforcements
Run-To: Airstrike

Blimey alot of run to requests...I never use it...I just speed up a little then slow down or pause when I'm needed...but it would be good if the game automatically paused when reinforcements and aristrikes became available.
