This one looks very nice.

I know it's historical and still the JSDF naval ensign, not just the IJN and battle flag, but that STILL sends shivers up my spine. I'll use it and I'll hate the sight of it.[:@]

you reduced the shadow on the flag.
If you don´t mind, can you explain me,how do you did it?

Sure,
I took the default Japanese flag and removed the red circle from the flag by.
1. Desaturating the image, (made it a greytone)
2. Modified the brightness and contrast to remove the (now grey), red spot.
3. Deleted the white background so it was transparent. (easy to do in GIMP, just add alpha transparency)
4. Added a new flag in, as a background layer under the shadow graphic.
5. Saved it as new .png ...done.

I know the shadow is not as intense, as the original. Anyone more than welcome to do a better one.
I'll probably get around to fixing it later.
I started with a flag mod for TOW, thought fitting to start with a flag mod for SOP.

thank you for you fast reply. Will try that out, as i find the shadows on the flags too dark.
