Fuel level

I have 100 tonnes of Fuel at a supply base

I have 2 x armoured regiments. I have no other units on the map.

HQ is about to send 50 tonnes of fuel to each regiment

Case 1

Both armoured regiments have their Fuel set to Normal. Both armoured regiments are about to begin a long advance. I study the fuel levels of both armoured regiments and can see that fairly soon they will be short of fuel.

Case 2

I give a rest order to the first regiment and set their fuel to Min. The second regiment still has Fuel set to Normal.

Does this mean that HQ is now sending less fuel to the first regiment and more fuel to the second regiment? Or is the second regiment due to receive the same amount of fuel as before?

Case 3

Again, I give a rest order to the first regiment and set their fuel to Min. This time the second regiment has Fuel set to Max.

Does this mean the second regiment is due to receive more fuel than it would under Case 2?

I believe that these toggles adjust the priority and thus the frequency of resupply. There's only so many bulk fuel carriers answering several requests, so your high priority units will move up the food chain. The effect is that some other motorized formation will likely suffer delays in re-fueling, especially if set to "Low" priority.

Hopefully Arjuna can verify this when he get's back.

Actually most foreward POL points then consisted of 2 1/2 ton trucks hauling 50 gallon drums to some field someplace.
