Just wanted to keep you informed ...

I am watching a few PBEM games that are using 1.08.02 and we have a few hickups! they are also helping me and running the new 1.08.03 image. Needless to say, we're having a few issues with the simul diplomacy that need to be addressed. I will be creating a new BETA (1.08.03) but do not have an ETA yet BUT I am going to make sure that this is stable before we post!

How do we get the 1.08.03 image, if we want to help with the testing?

I'm gonna let this bake for about a week and my PBEM test games are moving smoothly then we'll public BETA. This is an almost hourly watch so if a problem pops up in one of the games, I can react with a new EXE quickly! I think we're largely out of the woods BUT need more time to tell.

Sounds good. we posted a couple of 1.08.02 bugs on Mantis, but you may have caught them already.

Also, were there any changes with the editor from '07 to '08?

DB I can partially answer that question about the editor. There are some great new additions to the editor in 1.08.02 such as ability to add minor corps to any minor nation(except Poland). Using these new additions I managed to create a pretty close version of EiH game with minors having extra corps and extra fleets and etc. Also easier to create new corps and fleets for Major Powers which allows you to have Damaged and Ordinary Ship types. When I tried this on the 1.07 editor it was impossible so the 1.08 is a big improvement.

However, I did notice some bugs in the editor and I have a list of them as well as a wish list of what could be added or fixed. Marshall should I post these on Mantis or send them to you or what?

Yearworld! Post them on Manits. I haven't been focusing on the editor since simul diplomacy/eco more releases before I can really pay attention to it BUT we will eventually! Got to get this PBEM working smoother and AI better!
