Insignia icon in Estab-Editor

There are references to "insignia icons" on pages 24 and 25 of the editor manual.
There are no references to "insignia" in the other manuals (game, SM or MM).
Question: After being assigned, do the insignia icons appear anywhere else but in Estab-Editor and as a visual in the Scenario-Maker estab-trees?
