Airplane Engines

Hi, i am a newcomer and a new WPO user.
I have a question: i played just to see what's happen, i came from Uncommon Valour, and to see what the game offers. I saw i can, with my industryes, mount different airplane engines on them but i dunno what characteristics they have. I know only (i.e. Mitsubishi engines or Kawasaki ones) that i can mount them on planes... But what are the differences between one engine and another one? I am not asking which is better, of course, i suppose every engine has different purposes but what are them? I searched on the manual but i did't find any explanation about it...

I believe the production and airplane engine component of the game has been shut off.

I know it: i saw it in this site but i prefer WPO
It's more difficult than WitP as naval game, and i love naval-logistic games...[:)]

Each plane can take only a specific engine - so it's not a question of which one is better but rather which planes do you want to keep building?

Like Ace8 said, there is no production in stock WPO (so make sure you set your engine factories to no repair if allies come close to bombarding them), but some scenarios do offer production. In those, essentially match the plane name (e.g., Mitsubishi C1M1) to the engine name (Mitsubishi engine).

I did't ask which is better, i asked the characteristic of each engine.

Uhm...i forgot to do it. Thanks :)

Which are those scenarios? Mod scenarios or normale ones went out with the game?
I have only my WPO last version patched.

There are no characteristic of the engines used in war plan orange, the only thing that is listed is the number available in the pool reserve as per this photo.Using the editor all the other effects that can be changed are for weapons, engines are not weapons.
What you can do when you make a new scenario,is change the start date when the engine becomes available plus increase the number of engines stored in the reseve pool, plus the amount that can be built per month,I hope this answers your question.
