scoring issues

I tried to find a thread on this subject but didn't. So I'll start new one.

I was playing "Hell on Wheels" and found it to be a very fun scenario. Much fun.

But I got a marginal defeat even though the scoring meter showed I was winning by a couple of tick marks to the right of vertical. By that scale I should have had a marginal victory or draw at least.

Stats:

Axis kills: Men-730 Armor-53 Guns-12
Allied kills: Men-2024 Armor-16 Guns-67

I'm not sure a save file is necessary with these numbers but if you want to see them I'll post it. I have a save file from D4:06 I can run up again to scenario end (D4:10) if needed.

Firstly, kills are a relatively minor part of the victory conditions in this scenario (indeed, in most scenarios). Here, it's only ~20%, and for the Allies, they need to kill almost all the Germans to get those points.

Secondly, objectives can have "Completion Achievement Points" that are awarded all at once for holding the objective at scenario end, as opposed to "Occupation Achievement Points" which accumulate steadily while an objective is held. It's not clear how the win meter treats those points in the interim, but clearly there's potential for a sudden shift in fortunes right at the end. Perhaps one of the developers can clarify how "potential" CompAPs contribute to the estimated score.

Anyway, if you attach a save file it should be straight-forward to work out what happened in this case.

I forgot to mention the objectives.  I took and held all the objectives except Duchamps.  The little scales on all the objectives I held were nearly "full" of milk except the one closest to Duchamps.  (at work so pls excuse the misspellings and lack of names)

I guess my main point was the scale was several tick right of center at game end.  I can try and get a save file loaded this weekend.

A fun scenario it is.  If I enjoy the fight, the final score is irrelevant to me.  This one was a good fight.  I was bringing up this topic in case others had scoring issues that may need investigating.
