1.0.5.7 Repairing abandoned ship bug

In my last game I found a debris field with a few abandoned and damaged ships. I killed the space monsters and sent in three constructors. They repaired the first few ships which were then under my control. One AI jumped into the system with a few military ships and gained control of every ship I finished repairing while in system.

This is a bug I hope? Ive got a save game if needed.

The AI ships "discover" the ship first, since they have proximity arrays. Once the ship is fully repaired, it becomes discoverable. Standard construction ship designs do not have proximity arrays. Re-design your construction ships or bring your own forces along.

Ok thank you, will do.

Even though the constructor ship did not have a proximity array I think that repairing an abandoned ship should be the exception to above rule. After all I have already found it, my constructor ship is sitting right on top of it and my repair robots / maintenance crew are all over and in the ship.

Yes it is annoying, especially when you have a couple of ships in the area, and still the enemy gets the ships that you have been repairing. which can happen. this should really be changed somehow.

I am sure that proximity arrays werent meant to trump a repair job, definitely a bug.
