Praise for the AI

Ok, the AI is still not perfect but it's an improvement from it's predecessors (from old CC titles to COI). Below are some of my observations.
1) No more crawl of death.
2) They rush to the objective and once defenders shoot at them, they retreat to cover and regroup.
3) Tanks don't rush in. Instead they are usually supported by infantry.
4) Liberal use of smoke before assaulting a position. Last time, they only use smoke for defense.
I am only speaking for the Tactical AI. They are still be quite predictable (too aggressive and always go straight for the flags). Perhaps they can still tweak this. I can't say anything much about Strategic AI at the moment. I can neither confirm nor deny their passiveness.

1. Don't know. Can't remember it ever used to happen
2. Yes
3. Yes - from what I've seen
4. I can't recall seeing them use smoke.
The AI in defence is a bit of a mess from what I've read and now I've seen it from my experience. I mean, it's great in defence...but what the hell it's doing rushing from good defensive positions to take one measly victory location, I don't know.
Also in the map I noticed this, the AI left their defensive positions to go...well....nowhere! They were heading for nothing!
I still can't grab a damned bridge mind you!

Has anyone blew a bridge with lots of eneamy troops on it yet?Do they count as casualties because the scenario ends when bridge is blown.Reminds me of the old game "Fields of Fire" the Remagen bridge scenario,I remember crossing with US forces, the Germans blowing the bridge and all my troops getting killed[:D][:D]

Yes I have. Not pretty.
Jomni and JudgeDredd, thanks for the reports on the outlined issues. It seems we're getting varying reports on nearly every issue that has been reported so far.

The 'crawl of death' is just a slower version of the "rushing from good defensive positions" issue you described here. They used to crawl from their good defensive positions in previous titles and now they rush instead. Crawling would make more sense, IMO!

Crawling makes them easier targets.
Rushing makes them more survivable and they can overwhelm a defensive position that is outnumbered.
By the way, the AI tactics reminds me of the Japanese. This might be a good platform to mod the Pacific War. Lol!
Anyway, I also had some battles (as German defenders) where the AI didn't attack the flags at all for the whole 15 minutes.
