I see reference to this in the what's new section of the manual but can't seem to find out how to use it.
Anyone know how to use this feature?

Video's refers (I think, without knowing the exact location in the manual you're talking about) the campaign and daily videos that play at the start of the campaign and the beginning of each daily turn. It's turned on in the options menu by checking the box for videos.

He's talking about here (see pic).
I read that to be a video playback of the fight also...why would playing videos at the start of each Campaign/day be an "important feature"...and the only video I've ever seen is the GC start video [&:]

Oh, crap, I thought we could make videos of the battles. That would be sweet. Anyone know how to do that? Is that a camtasia thing?

Perhaps not the best choice of wording but that was the feature I was describing in my post above. It is a feature in the sense that it helps create a connection to history and adds to the overall ambience. Important in that respect albiet not as important as features higher on that list that we wanted everyone to notice first. [;)] We felt it deserved mentioning on the features list because it was new to the rebuilds series and a function/feature/operation/whatever-the-word-you-want-to-use-to-describe-something-a-program-does that was part of the game. We felt it was a cool feature that CC2 used that we wanted to reintroduce to CC. [8D]
GordianKnot - Yes camastasia is one good one. There are others and I think even some free ones.

That has only ever been part of Close Combat Modern Tactics.

Basically CC now has two streams (instead of the previous 5)
The CCMT - CCM - CoI stream
and the
WaR - tLD - LSA stream
each stream has it's own base code (basically two different games)
Theoretically you could incorporate one feature from one stream into the other but the amount of work/resources required two rewrite that streams code is prohibitive...
You will see though we have incorporated Night battles , for instance , from CCm into the WaR/tLD/LSA stream

The thing about the replay, is that you can upload a replay file to the forum so others can watch you're victory ( as nobody would upload a defeat ).

CC2 gave you a video at the start of each day of the Historical battle of the day with combat footage and narration.
If you go into the CC2 CD you will see a folder that's labeled videos, shows all the ingame video, plus video of some of the weapons and AFVs used in the conflict, some of the videos is the testing of the panther by the germans including against the captured M3 Lee.

Exact same content we're presenting here for the daily and campaign intro videos.

So that's not what they are going to do for CC VI, amalgamate all the best bits?
