Near Run Thing

As mentioned in another thread the Near Run Thing game has finally reached a conclusion with Turkey winning in June 1813.

The players were -

Britain Ron Berg
France David Whitworth
Russia Kenneth Crist/Steve Rose*/Mitch Ledford
Austria Joseph Smith/Daniel Sahlin*/George Meyer
Prussia Ian Hunter/Fabrizio Vianello*
Spain Denis Woods/Steven Williams*
Turkey Varick Ready

Players market with a * played the larger part of the game, although Mitch Ledford made a significant contribution with Russia.

Final Positions and VPs were -

GB 348 87.66%
Ru 285 82.61%
Sp 257 77.88%
Pr 216 66.87%
As 155 45.99%

Thanks for posting this DCWhitworth. I enjoy seeing information from a completed game. I am interested in a quick summary of how the game went. Just a few lines about major wars and who was on which side. Also, it is interesting so many players played the game. I always have trouble finding players to get games started. How do you find so many replacement players?

Sorry to not have followed up but have been elsewise engaged.
I can send out the last Turkish Save if anyone wants to see the map. I am glad to discuss things if anybody has interest.
