Yantan is completely clear in my Okinawa campaign. I've read the manual and tried unsuccessfully to deploy air units that are (I believe) ready to deploy. I have tried deploying tactical bombers, fighters, etc to this airfield, but no luck. I've also tried to cities, ports, etc, but no luck.

Any ideas? The manual doesn't have anything on this particular topic. I need the tac bombers badly.

Game system states that you can only deploy on your own soil.
Do you own the hexes? Personally, I haven't played the Okinawa scenario.

There was an event message that said that supplies were now able to be routed to Yantan. From that message I infer that I own it. When I examine it with the hex tool (ie how I'd deploy a Mulberry Harbor on a coast line) it says its mine.

The air screen says "Ready to Deploy" too, so I'm wondering if I have a bug issue, but I tend to believe I'm simply an idiot. [:)]

Click on the city. Look for ownership.

You do not own it.. hence can not deploy.

Indeed. As I played through, I found only that it was possible to deploy on the 10th HQ square. I was thinking it would be possible to do forward air deployment, which they did.
