September 1939
This will be a campaign of the oceanic powers against the landmass powers. It is expected that the Axis and Comintern will go to war at some point, but the human controlled nations of the West will seek ultimate victory.

The winter has seen a lot of air combat. The RAF has a 130-18 ratio in its favor. The strategic bombers have taken losses, but have continued to attack, and have badly hurt the Germans. On the diplomatic front Portugal is being wooed by the Allies, and Norway is leaning to the West.

Much has happened. The maps shown this week reveal the agony of the British in the south of France. The mech corps was destroyed, but the two infantry corps were repatriated to England with the establishment of the Vichy State. The British in Cagliari remained there, despite Sardinia reverting to Italian control. This is a very weird situation, but the RN plans to fix it. Tripoli also reverted to Italian control, but British troops are advancing from Sirt to retake it. Everything gets very complicated when France accepts the armisitice.
Finland is also at peace with the Soviets after a hard campaign which saw nearly the whole country taken.
Spies in Lisbon, and there are a lot of them, report very heavy British transport unloading at the docks.

Very slow going in Greece. We are not much worried by the new DAK unit.
