Was starting the 8/43 campaign as the Axis. As you can appreciate getting the production setup the way you want it, moving flak trains etc takes a long time especially till you get used to the stats, locations etc. So I saved half way through as I had other commitments to attend to. When I loaded the save game it immediately went to the Allied planning phase. Thinking I had hit a wrong button I redid a quick restart, saved the game after a few changes and quit the game. When I reloaded it went straight to the Allied planning stage. So I didn't hit the wrong selection the first time.

So the question is when you have a turn with a lot to do why can't you save and later reload it and continue with your preparations? People don't always have time to do long pre turn planning all in one shot. Small but annoying deficiency in the save game option.

Yeah, we know it's annoying, but you're actually on Turn 0 at that point as the defender - the game can't cope with loading a turn 0, so goes to the AI attacker phase.
