Kates Not Flying at PH

I have just sent my Turn One to AdmNelson and had a very strange thing happen. As I test ran the Opener, I could only get 2 Daitai of Kates to fly from my four CVs attacking PH. After seeing this the first time I ran the turn over and over about 8 times trying to get ANYTHING to happen.
Tried changing the Altitude, changing the destination and then moving it back to PH, played with Range, leader is Yamaguchi, etc...anything I could think of I did and net result: NOTHING. It was always the same two CVs (Shokaku-Zuikaku). I finally gave up and sent the turn.
To make sure I wasn't being an idiot, the turn got sent over to Michael to run and see if HE could spot any problems. He just wrote me and said there was nothing he could do get them to fly.
Ideas? Very strange...

Just to make sure you're not missing the obvious: all squadrons are set to "using torpedoes", right?

Assuming i understand it correctly, and i might not. Rolls are pre made turn or to that effect. So changing stuff prolly wont change any thing.
If i should come with any idea's. You failed coordination rolls so you see less than a full strike for those squadron, why changing altitude and stuff doesnt change any thing. The roll for coordination are alrdy failed.
Thats the possible explanation i can think of but with a very low proberbility why its not seen often.
Stressing its speculation, but i did some testing on PH when the game was released.
I saw results where less than full strikes occured and or some split strikes, some groups in the AM some groups in PM air phases. Rarely, but it happend.
Only way to avoid the pre determained rolls is exiting the game all together and starting over. Ofc wont help in ur situasion as they alrdy "saved". I mean for testing purposes.
U'd had to start an entire new scn to avoid those rolls. Not that im suggesting that, just explaining.
Hope it helps,
Rasmus

Thanks guys. After spending ALL that time prepping Turn One I simple said NO WAY to starting again and, yes, both Daitai are set for Torps.

Perhaps Yamaguchi is just being a Reluctant Admiral? [:'(]

I think it is Karma. You have attacked PH so many times in the past. What goes around, comes around.

What's another day or two in a game that lasts a couple of years...? [;)]
But hey, I'm sure AdmNelson will be glad to hear this. [:)][:'(]

I just read the last three Posts in a row and REALLY had to laugh! Ckammp about made me spew my drink all over the laptop. The Peanut Gallery is in full force it appears...
Call me simply tired but spending two more days on the same Opening is enough to make me drink. I'll let AdmNelson get off easy THIS time. Prefer to sink the BBs in 1,000,000 Ft of water anyway...

Probably to late by now, but i have had same thing happen to me only 72 Kate bombers fly and only 55 Zero's.
Only changing the strike mission will help as far as i have discovered.
As a side note the worst outcome i have seen is only 18 Zero's flying against PH.
Now thats bad.
