The blizzards have long gone...
And the weeks of glorious mud have just passed...
Comrade Chairman Stalin has decreed that 1942 will be the year the Fascist powers under Generafeldmarschall von Techex are driven from the Rodina and forced to surrender on the streets of Berlin.
Those of us at General headquarters have stayed off the opiates and are a little closer to reality...not that we aren't dipping heavily into the army's supply of vodka to make us forget our worries nightly.
Our brave Sovjet troops are finished with the period of rolling and lolling about in the mud..and are preparing for the summer counteroffensive. Tank armies are being planned and detailed manouvres are being discussed.
The casualties have been heavy. In losses, GFM Techex has taken 5 for every 1 he has given. Yet, sovjet manpower knows no bounds. The Red Air force is still huge...though lacking enough experience to make it's shiny new fighters a match for the fascists. Training continues.
