lightening the map colors

does anyone know how to make the map colors, for instance with the political mode, less rich and deep? There is a colors.xls file for each scenario, but I don't see any entries there for what I'm referring to.

For the political mode, I guess you can change Dip1-Dip13 and/or War1-War13.
Read carefully the "Comment" column for details.

found it in /data/db/goldscenarios/[scenario name]/nations.csv
