could you please add a button or a menu feature to remove all predefined path/objectives for a scenario ?

I wish to define new ones, but removing old ones it is a click fest...

There are a few places where something like that would be a big help. [;)]

If you're talking about while playing, you can set the objective 'track.' 4 and 5 were just added, so should be blank for most scenarios.

The editor would be more difficult. You might be able to save the XML and edit it, but I haven't tried it.

Maybe the current option to 'copy objective track 1 to objective track 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5' could be modified to allow copying of track 'x' to track 'y'. I guess a dialogue box would have to be added. Well, at that point I guess it could be added to allow for 'removing all objectives from track 'x''. There already is an option to remove all objective values. I'm Schultz on this stuff though, so it may be a dumb idea.

Even then, it's per formation. It would almost be faster to export it, open it up in notepad and edit the XML.

I'll rethink how it works down the road.

Um, no ? Its per all objectives, unless we are talking about two different things.

OK, I'll take your word for it. I haven't used the editor very much. I assumed it was per formation. It seems like an easy way to trash a bunch of work if you aren't careful.

Absolutely ! That and the automatic cloning of events have given me nightmares and gray hair !

You know how whenever you do something in Windows, it pops up a box and says 'Are you sure you want to do that' ? Yes dammit, that pop up is aggravating. But in this case, I'd actually rather see TOAW pop up a 'Are you sure you want to overwrite all track 2 objectives?' and a 'Are you sure you want to insert a new event in the extensive list that you have already spent a lifetime coordinating, because if you do, it will totally screw up everything!' !!

[All of the above in good humor]

I learned a long time ago that if I'm going to do something that will take work to undo, I save before I do it. Just makes sense. Maybe a user adjustable auto save for editing would be ok. But if you don't save whose fault is it?

'Undo' works in a lot of instances, that comes in handy.

And there is a case for not saving until you have looked over the entire map to make sure it is ok! By the way, currently working on another new map that is road heavy, and what a pain those roads are (rivers too). I spend more time erasing spurs and junctions that are automatically inserted than putting in the actual roads and rivers. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like the automatic feature should be eliminated. Anyone who likes it should chime in so I know if I am wrong.

Automatic Contours Off? I usually turn it off when it comes to drawing the more densly areas.

[:D]

There should definitely be something like this. Auto copy of events can make one quite nervous when working on a several hundred events list.

Maybe there is a way to disable the way it currently works and switch it to one of the two sort buttons on the bottom right. We brought it up once before, and nobody claimed any use for those two buttons. Not that there might not be a use for them, just that nobody that viewed the thread had any positive response for them. I've never had any use for them.
