Range for HQs and other questions?

I saw some mention in the manual about the HQ bonus in combat being for units within it's range but I can't find anything that shows me what that range is for each HQ. How does this work exactly?
Also I assume all artillery range is two hexes. Is this correct?
The Battlestack number shows in the black oval but sometimes there is a number in a square. What does that represent?
Last one. Is there a way to highlight units that have AP left other than going back and clicking on every unit individually?
Thanks. Enjoying the game

Artillery is two hexes
The brightness of the symbol fades as AP are used up

HQ range, that's explained in the "rules"or "variables" I think, it's depending on the scenario 8-10 hexes for 100% HQ bonus, and from there on 20% less for each hex extra distance.
The number in the black square is movement penalty.
And no, no highlighting units with unused AP points... but personally I try to keep my units together so if they're greyed out they pretty much all used up their AP's. (note that I would find it usefull to have a "n" button for "next unit" that still can be moved)

I couldn't find anything in the manual either. The only thing I can think of is to check to see how far a HQ unit can move and if the HQ's subordinate units are within its "grey" movement area, then these units are within range to get the bonus. I wonder if an Army Group HQ provides a special bonus at all and is there a certain range for that?

I don't think it has anything to do with movement, or how far a HQ can move.
I took this from Barthheart's reply in another thread: "For HQ ranges its 100% effect out to 8 hexes then it drops by 20% for each hex beyond that.
If you select a unit and click on the "Unit Details" tab you can see what effect teh HQ is having on that unit - it's called HQ power."
