Transferring Fuel by Air...

Is it possible to transfer fuel by air? Given the game detail it seems it would be, it's just that I'm missing the selection somewhere. It would be a little dubious that the only airbases I can use are sea-adjacent.

There is no option to transport fuel by air. Inland bases have no need for fuel since it is used only by ships. Aircraft and troops utilize supplies in this game, not fuel.

Well that makes ALL the difference! I just naturally assumed (given the game detail) that fuel meant gas for both ships and airpower. But if it's just for ships, well then........ [8D]

In my first game I also made this mistake until someone told me that fuel is used by ships only.[:)]

I don't think it would have been practical even if such an option were available.

The fuel delivered by multiple C-47 squadrons shuttling non-stop over a several week period would probably be sucked up by a standard TF of 1-2 capital ships and a dozen escorts in one in-port replenishment.

Oh yeah ... for sea power, transferring fuel by air would be a enormous waste of resources. I initially thought the fuel number was used both for sea and air, and that air wouldn't operate without it. Now I know different ... and it's made all the difference.
