Is there any difference in the game other than different names?

If something currently has 20 support and 5 motorized support would 25 support or 25 motorized support be equivalent?

I believe that the only difference is that motorized support comes from a different device pool, requires additional sealift capabilities and cannot be airlifted.

Japanese units that upgrade or need replacements will also require the vehicle points for these devices.
