PO Assist Again

Ralph,
When using the PO Assist facility, the formation order 'manual' does not necessarily do what it says on tin. The easist way to see this is the following:
1. Load the Balkans 12 scenario in Hotseat or versus the computer playing the Ottoman Empire.
2. Locate the Balkan League's (Bulgarian) 9th Infantry Corp and set it to 'manual' orders.
3. Use the PO move button to move get the PO to handle all the other formations.
4. I can guarantee the PO will move the 9th Infantry.
Actually, you can try several turns trying to get the 9th Infantry to stay where it is but the PO insists on moving it.
From the testing I have done, it appears that the PO Assist will not respect the 'manual' order if any of the formation's units are either in contact with or in close proximity to enemy units. Unless every unit in the formation is at least three hexes away from enemy units, the 'manual' orders to not work as advertised and the PO will move and set up attacks with the formation instead of just leaving it alone.
Sorry.
Best wishes,
Steve
