I know on the allies side, it can replenish carriers and battleships without a problem, depending how many Ops are available and supplies on the AKE's. On the Japanese side however, I can re-arm the KB without a problem, however not 1 battleship will be re-armed, what am I missing? I am not at sea either, all ships are in port.

I think that 20.1.2.2 table on rearming is the focal point to help. Your 36cm BB's can be done by your largest AKE's at start. 40 and 46cm main guns must be done at 7 or 9 port (or with naval support). The key things (assuming you dont add a large AKE and mod) I do are get several of the largest possible AKE conversions. Expand Rabual to 7 and put at least 200 Naval support. That will allow this theater to get M+S BB resupply. Kwajalein will never support 18" IMHO. AKE lima cargo class will allow BB up to 40cm guns in kawj (or any port)

46cm require a level 7 port and 188 naval support. That means you need to decide which ports to develop to 7 and stock across the empire so that you can use Y&M in those theaters.

Only large-ish AKEs can replenish BBs. The AKEs capacity must exceed 2x the effect rating of the weapon (PG 212 of the manual). So for a 14" gun with an effect of 1485, you need an AKE with a capacity above 2970. Or any port of size 7+, with adequate supplies.

Correct. It's the only class this applies to.

Yeah, I pretty much have no where to re-arm the Yamato, not quite sure how I can re-arm her right now.

Singers or Truk if built to lvl 7 with 200 nav support, yes?

Probably partly explains the rather idle existence of the Yamato during her early career. "Yes, your Excellency, we can sent her down to the Solomons to brawl with the American cruiser-destroyer pick-up team. But, it's a long trip back to Japan for more shells." [:D]

Manila can upgrade to size 9 I believe. It's shorter than to the home islands, but it's still quite a trip.

If it is any consolation to the Japanese players out there, I went through the TROMs of all the ammunition ships, in total I found two ammunitions ships that even reloaded a warship...for the most part they offloaded to a port.

Onoe Maru was actively reloading ships in a 10 day period starting 4 March 1942. Nachi, Tone, Chikuma and Hiei were the 4 ships supplied at that time.

Tatsutake Maru seems to have supplied a few gunboats and patrol boats during a three month period starting in January 1942.

None of the other TROMs mentions active reloading of ships by AEs for the Japanese Navy...granted the TROMs may or may not be complete.
