I'm not sure about whether or not this is ok, but I got an abandonware copy of Harpoon from macgarden.com. I am running the original (classic) harpoon. Could anyone send me a link or a download for the EC2000 battlesets? I have the original harpoon CD but it's scratched to hell and I am bored waiting for Ultimate to come out so I can spend some money. I loved EC2000 battles... [:(]

Thanks for writing.

1. There is no abandonware variant of Harpoon. Any site claiming otherwise is wrong.

2. Nobody should send anyone a link to EC2000 battlesets or any others other than those made with the battleset builder by users, for other users.

patrickrizer243, you would be far better off investing in a legitimate copy of HCE and then taking advantage of the updates (beta and otherwise), tech support and a longstanding community of players.

I have been made aware of the issue. I have since purchased a legitimate copy of the game. I apologize for the first post, as I took a website at face value before finding Harpoon Classic here. So, someone has an illegal copy that they are allowing users to download for free. My apologies, I was unaware that someone had continued developing Harpoon.

No worries Patrick; if you wouldn't have asked you wouldn't have known the status of development. If development had ceased and been abandoned it would have been a good place to get those files [:)]

Folks interested in furthering the development of HCE are welcome to join the effort by beta testing the numerous upgrades and enhancements that we have been steadily adding to this great sim.
