Just re done the alliance ships and space stations to look like they are glowing. Not sure if it works though!!?!?!?!?

It sort of works. They kind of look like ghost ships.

Why not try adding a radial fade effect below the ship layer to create a shining aura?

That is really interesting... it looks like something totally alien. [:)]
