"Movies" function has a problem?

When you turn on "movies" there are usually four files written out by TOAW after the first turn. The smaller of the files are the mini-map views and the one "beginning" or "before" view has no red / blue dots on it. I'm talking about the Autumn Fog.Germansu000.jpg file specifically. I can use the bigger of the four files to make a movie but this "blank" one doesn't seem to be usefull to me
