Sorry if this an a bit stupid question, but, if u add more planes to the game, ie: Fw-190 navalised, to the IJN, and play a campaign as Allied, will I ever see the IA employing the Fw-190 or we must "force" the IA to employ them ??
Thank you !!!

Good question. Does the AI follow a specific upgrade track or does it choose the 'best' available upgrade when there are enough aircraft?

The AI will never change its set upgrade path IE...it can have a pool of 10,000 FW-190s and never use them once.
IF you want the AI to use an added in aircraft, you will have to either add a fictional group to use the planes or modify the upgrade path of 1 or more groups to use the plane.

You really need michael to answer this one.
My rule of thumb in Ironman etc has been to modify the upgrade paths of some sqns to take new aircraft to ensure the AI uses them.
The AI no longer uses generic upgrade paths (although there was some discussion about changing it not sure if it happened)
So the AI follows the Sqn upgrade paths in order no matter what is in the pool
Which is yet another reason why if PDU = ON is a non AI player HUGE advantage unless playing on Hard or Very Hard because they made me take out the AI aircraft production cheats from normal making it to easy if you play PDU on v the AI

Sounds like if you want to make a 'vs AI only' scenario that the player can PDU = On, you might want to boost the production numbers for the AI to make sure it can always have aircraft to use...
At least this is how I am understanding what you are saying.

I understand the same as Akula. If u play against IA with PDU=on, a huge boost of AI airplane production is needed. Is this right ?

If you want to play on historical difficulty I would say yes and do it as replacement aircraft not production
If you are playing on Hard or V Hard less of an issue as i think some of the AI assists are still in there.
Being brutally honest PDU ON is a gamechanger against the AI IT WILL NOT USE IT ergo its a huge advantage for the player.
If I was playing a game v the AI intending on PDU = ON I would play with the air group upgrades a bit

Thank you very much for the answers...
So, If I put (ie:) A6M2 Zero, replacements 20, every month IA will get 20 Zeros plus on-map production, isn't ?

Any chance that this may get addressed in a future patch, even only with a simple code for AI`?

Nope PDU was something only put in after the forum complained about fixed upgrade paths in original WITP a lot of folks (me included) think it was a mistake.
The AI in both stock and AE cannot cope with the level of flexibility that this option entails its just not possible.
So neither game was designed with PDU as an option - if you use it you are giving yourself a big crutch v the AI

But at the same time, without PDU, you really don't get to try new goodies without having to mod the upgrade paths.
Either way you are going to have to utilize the editor it seems.
