Hello, have anybody new soft or free program to make fideos from screenshooting from monitor? I try to do it with Fraps but 3:15 minutes gave me 3,9 GB hard space. Need yur help

I ask in a wargame forum and reply to me "Sony Vegas" never use it but can change a 4 GB video from fraps to a 60 MB video ... never try it but i dont have the artist feeling [:D]

Is your version of FRAPS a demo or a fullversion?

Great video, the game looks great... isnt the perfect game for PBEM but are other game mode hehehe.

Ummm the video dont have sound, isnt a problem, now is more a way to show how the game works but in future if he want made it an official video can do some similar like in FoG videos with a narrator talking about game and features, i buy FoG after see it [:D]

Yep, second video has problems but first are a good first contact with the game, i have my "reserves" with a wargame all in 3D but is glad see it working [;)]

Maybe a "real" 18th century battlesounds, muskets, canons, horse attacks.....some historic pipes and drums marches......maybe some old battle paintures between the scenes....

Some thoughts about your promo video:

First of all: thank you for your work, ideas and idealism!!!! You seems to be the first who is touching this way of promotion of the Vol. 1 H&M!

But  I had an unanswered question some time ago: what is the message of this video???

I am asking, because:

1.) what is the target group: old players with the knowledge of the game? Or "Clueless" people" with no experience of the game?  
2.) Where are the "headlines", where is the "declaration of intent" in this video at the beginning ala "Making a map in the H&M-Game...."

Sorry, but your are looking the film only with the eyes of an old experienced gamecreator, but what is to see really?:

I can see the bad quality of the screen, and the video is not really able to upgrade the pixel-quality. Ok, we can't change it.....
But this means, it is not possible to read the buttons you are using.

I can see your quick mouse pointer touching a lot of unreadable little buttons, some quick game reactions, colourful demonstration of (for noobs unknown) ranges...

And now back to my question: what is the message of this video???

My opinion:
If you want to show only some superficial activities without details and without the intention of an "instruction" video, than it is really perfect.
But if you want to show details like "How to make a map", than you should

- use your mouse pointer slower
- use SUBTITLES in English
- and/ or you speak your explanations in the background of the video (yes, I know that it is not easy to use a spoken accurate English...but EASY is for everyone, GOOD is the aim...

it is good to hear an other opinion. Of course you are an experienced "3 golden matrix star" *** member .... 

And this is exactly what I have written:

you are
a) an experienced (wargame-) player with the knowledge of the (matrix) game.... the video was good for you, Matto, to imagine how the game works....
and b) you are not a "clueless" user with no experience of (war-)games

But it would be nice for me to understand the real purpose of this videos. Is it only good for experienced matrix wargamers like Matto (and only a small matrix clique) or is it for clueless users without any matrix experience too (what means: the rest of the world)?

Or in other words: Is the purpose a real training video: F.e. "How to make a map", push the button here and here...or is it only a: Look, how fast you can build a map, forget the buttons, forget the details of game controlling, you have to learn it yourself later?

I think, it is not hard to understand.....

I think this game is not for people from the rest of the world ... it is tactical, turn base, hexa base, not 3d etc etc wargame ... so I think people, who would like to see how game looks and works need video like this and not "professional" advertisement or video review ... for all we would be happy to see it [8D]

I have tried to make some video showing how to make map in the editor and unfortunatelly I couldn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Fraps cut out all my work with editing with units options. Maybe my mouse is too fast, but if you make fullscreen option to swich video you will able to see what is in the small button written I checked it.
This video was make to BE In the patch 1.12 is unofficial HnM Scenario Editor Users Guide which lead you how do the  scenario in details. My video shall only shown how to do that and First of ALL HOW many options you have doing this ...........

I like your idea of supporting the editor users guide... I would benefit from this too!!!!! ...but...sorry, but I need some written lines (OR SPOKEN WORDS??!!) which informs me in the video about your aim.

I think (...everyone has an opinion to everything...[:'(]) that a video should content a informative headline, some necessary informations about map making analogical to the Editor Users Guide, please slow movements with YOUR cursor (it is easier for the eyes and not fatiguing...maybe I am too old) and an end title.

I'm glad to read all your notes.
IN our small group I can tell that, I made this video during showing film project on the "Italian week in Poznań" in dark classroom, and I couldn't say a word....[8D]
If I would make such new video I will take your advice into consideration. In 15 minutes (the YOUtube restriction)  you can't say lot...[8|]
