Really? And Legend of Zelda is top? What is Chrono Trigger? Final Fantasy VII is 3rd? I mean, Legend of Zelda has 2 entires in the top 10 and Final Fantasy has 3???

There really isn't much for me to vote on there in all honesty if that is the top 18!

Yes, really. Console games are more popular than you think.

I think the #1 Legend of Zelda is the one I bought in 1998 for $79 on first day of release. My wife loved the Zelda series.

Civilization (1, 3 or 4)
Populous (1 or 2)
X-COM UFO Defense
Master of Orion
Railroad Tycoon
Star Control 2
Baldur´s Gate (1 or 2)
Neverwinter Nights (1 or 2)
Planescape: Torment
Mass Effect (1 or 2)
Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

Depends on the PC/console player balance and I suspect the latter far outweighs the former. Plus the age demographic, probably half the voters were still in diapers when a few of those were released! If you look at the full list though, the PC classics start to appear and BG 2, Planescape, Fallout 2, System Shock 2, Civ 4 etc are al in the top 100. Interesting poll, actually.

You are a bot. Trying to spam this forum for your own benefit. You are an organic spam bot by my own definition.

And now for a suggestion.....

If you want to discuss matrix titles or wargames in general or even just games without diverting people to other sites for your own direct benefit than I will reconsider my own judgement of you and your intentions.

Same here. In my house Zelda was loved by all. Even by...me.

Half Life 2 deserves top spot. Maybe it's just my taste, but HL2 runs circles around Legend of Zelda all day long and doesn't get tired.

For two separate periods in my life, I was solely a console gamer. And I ended up loathing it after a short while both times.

It's actually not a horrible list...with the exception of Metal Gear Solid. What an over-rated, over-written, over-dramatic mess that series is.

We have accomplished the mission.

I love Final Fantasy VII. I played and beat that game 4 times. I have to agree with Zelda being number one. Very good game.  I think console games and PC games are not better or worse than each other, just different.

I play on my PC, 360 and PS2 and I like games off of them all.
