Would be a good idea if there was a report button that you could press on a post with regards to spam...maybe near the reply button....

There is a "report" button next to the post # but I have never been able to get a valid reason.

As Junk2drive said, it's ALREADY there in the lower right corner.[:D][:D][:D]

try "Spam post"

I think that worked for me

I usually just title it 'spam poster' and put the person's username in the main box...that works.

I was never able to get a valid reason either - which begs the question - IF there are valid reasons and these are validated (which they appear to be) on entry - wth is it not a drop down list with the valid reasons? It's rather infuriating trying to figure out what is a valid reason.

lol - just tried to report a post for language so put in the reason field "Language" and it told me to enter a valid reason. That's pretty poor. Get a drop down list up there for the user to select a valid reason. I could trhough something like that in one of my Windows apps in less than 10 minutes - WITH a connection to the DB to get the reasons AND error checking. And it cannot be a limitation on the forum software being used.

No - your not Wodin - 'cos the report button doesn't work unless you have patience to guess what the valid reason is or you have access to the list - so you aren't stupid, because the function that's there doesn't work properly.

Just like the OP asked for : a simple button "report spam" would do it - to more quickly dispatch those Chinese goldfarmers - I see no other reason to "report" someone or something.
