There are a lot of viewing options in PCO. Some of them have to do with camera angles and closeup views. Others have to do with speed.
There is a viewing selection dial in PCO that allows you to set the speed at which you watch the movie.
The lowest setting is at 1/10 normal speed.
This allows you to really slow down the action if you want to see something very specific.
Good Hunting.

Then there is normal viewing speed. Notice the viewing speed selector, just to the bottom left corner of the tool tip displayed,is like a speedometer. The higher the viewing speed the more of the meter is filled in.
Good Hunting.

Next is one and half times normal speed. The settings for normal and one and half times normal are the only two viewing speeds that are matched to sound. The rest are all without the sound files coordinated.
Good Hunting.

For all you scenario designers that need that extra bit of speed to get through a turn quickly there is 3 times normal speed.
Good Hunting.

For those times when you don't need to see the results of the turn there is ten times the normal speed.

The viewing speed can be adjusted at any time during game play. You could be at speed 1.5, then move down to .01 to watch a grenade attack and then back up to 10 to finish the turn.
During PBEM the turns are played at normal viewing speed. That allows the computers to match the files. The rest of the range of viewing is basically for scenario designers to fine tune their scenarios with the ability to help with the playtest of their scenarios. It just happens to be a nice addition to the game at other times as well.
Good Hunting.

The explosion throws open the T-34's main turret hatch. This would be the first indication to the T-34 crew that they had been hit. The explosion came through the engine compartment into the fighting compartment.
