Dosbox - avi video capturing

In the Dosbox documentation, I read that it was possible to create a movie from the screen (avi video capturing). I thought it would be great to be able to send the movie of the combat resolution phase to my PBEM opponent but I can't seem to make it work properly.

I have to press CTRL-ALT-F5 to start the video capturing and again, CTRL-ALT-F5 to stop it. It created a AVI file and was able to locate it on the hard drive. I used DivX to see it but it won't work. DivX only shows black screen of the same duration of my recordings.

Did anybody ever tried that video feature? What should I try next? Does it require a special configuration?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank!

Problem solved! [8D]
I had to install the video codec first. (stupid me!)

It is pretty neat!
Did someone ever tried to record combat resolution phase?

Of course! Go to http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Recording_Video

The movie files created are rather large, though. [:(]
