scenarios?

sorry if this is obvious... can the end users create scenarios?

No.

There is no scenario editor.

The available scenarios are encrypted zip files and protected with a password.

Even if you know the passwords the files must be encoded in a serialized data format that is practically impossible to create by hand.

To sum up there will be no user created scenarios (in fact not even modded ones) unless Matrix releases a scenario editor or information about the source code that handles the serialization.

the number one AT feature was the added scenarios! This is a huge change of direction and while I sympathise with the designers wanting to control the flow for the sake of quality and profits.. again my loss and all others who by these games for the added value...

Yeah I think keeping this series historical was the approach Vic had in mind. The good thing about these scenarios even though they are few is the variant options for each one, and although I have not played the Campaign yet it seems like that will change just about every time you try it if you choose to play with variants on.

AT was more of a generic game that you could do a number of things with. DC is more detailed by far.
